It's a hot summer day and your childhood friend suddenly calls you.
It's been years since you've last spoken but instead of catching up,
she offers you an unexpected gift. What are you going to do?

Features:

Polish and English language options,

15-30 minutes of gameplay,

multiple endings,

over 30 hand drawn pencil illustrations and elements,

original music score and sound effects by Adam Ogrodnik,

perhaps a little bit of katharsis.

About:

Biegnij/Run is a very short story about two unnamed girls in an uncertain place, about forming connections and being conscious of ourselves and others.

It's my first attempt at making a game by myself. It's inspired by my studies on shōjo bunka and is a part of my master thesis, under the guidance of Social Propaganda Riot studio.

Trigger warnings:

self-harm, suicide, depression

If you've been affected by any of the themes above and feel like you may need help, please click here.

Known issues:

The all-time classic:  Windows sometimes flags this game as a dangerous file. It is perfectly safe.

If you get a pop-up saying something about detected save data, delete all files with .sav extension from the main folder of the game.

If a game crashes at launch with "undefined" pop-up, please try launching it a few times.

During the good ending sequence there may occur a sudden change of music. If after the sequence end there are no ending credits, it means that TyranoBuilder gods of chaos and destruction are at it again and decided to just play another scene underneath the first one. I tried everything to fix it. Please learn from my mistakes, uninstall your TyranoBuilder today and never look back.

Future plans:

I will most likely recreate an entire project using a different engine this year, because of the issues above.

I'm afraid of both solitude and companionship. This game speaks to me on core level, especially part about forgiving yourself.

Loved the flowers' symbolism. Instruction menu is pure work of art. Only little bit of nitpick is lack of font size change availability option.

Of course I blew my first playthrough under two minutes because I didn't pick up the phone or call back. WAKKA WAKKA.
